Technorati No Worky For Me

Yesterday I spent a large amount of time trying to get Technorati to notice this blog. As it turns out, as you can see on the right, that I wasn't so successful. I thought to myself, why not try to "Claim" my blog with technorati, I've done it with all my other blogs, and it was fairly straight forward and easy. If I remember right, all I needed to do was add their code in a post, and then release the technorati spider to find it. Well, for some reason I could never find the spot where the claim code was given to me, hence the reason the spider can't look at my site.

But as I kept investigating, there is another way to get your blog noticed by technorati, and that's to ping their service.

Where Do I Start?

Often times, getting started is the hardest part of getting something accomplished. I've found this to be true, no matter if I was working a full time job or doing consulting for my own business. Getting started means that at some point you need to come up with a plan. I'm sure no battle was ever won without and really good plan of attack, which is what I need to get this thing off the ground.

First, I think we always need to have a goal in mind. My goal is to design a very compelling website that demonstrates my ability to design a website with all the essential elements a website needs in today's online market. I also want to use the website as a vehicle to generate new clients and display the work i'm doing for them here. It's kind of my way of advertising the clients that decides to use my skills.

Now that we have a goal I think it's important to set some expectations.
