You Said What?
About once every other week, I attend a meeting of web professionals that want to talk about new skills and techniques related to the web design industry. Usually it's one of those events that you walk away from really anxious to get back to your computer and do more research on a particular topic.
This past week was no exception, however the excitement wasn't due to technology. Nope this week the topic of customer service and how to deal with a bad client.

Moving on with TeeShirt Nut
You can see by the picture below, that the content has come along nicely, but there are still some formatting issues that need to take place. What you are seeing below is the before picture. As you'll notice the formatting is way off when it comes to comments.

Tee Shirt Nut Day 2
As you can see from the image below, I've made some good progress with the T-Shirt website. At this point it's been all style, but we are quickly approaching the techincal pieces.

Day 1 Look of a Nut
I thought today we would start off by looking at the current site and how it looks. I had to change the background of the site because I couldn't stand looking at the plain white any longer.

Beginnings of a T-Shirt Nut
Anyone who knows me, knows that I like T-Shirts. One of the reasons I like T-Shirts so much is because I have a fully functioning printing business to facilitate my need for new and interesting styles to wear. One of the reasons I started a printing business was because I could never find the style/size/design that I wanted. This is the same reason that I started using Django to create my websites, I just couldn't find a product that did everything I wanted.
So, as I've mentioned before I wanted to create a new site that I can discuss T-Shirts and in those cases where I've created something, possibly sell them. The difference here is that it's got to be different than the tons of other Tee sites that are out there.
Here's what I want the new site to be like......

E-Commerce with Django
As the year draws to a close, I find myself once again looking at my year long "To Do" list and see a bunch of projects that never got done. Why they didn't get done is anyone's guess. My personal guess would be that I got to busy with clients and never got around to all the personal projects.
One project that I did come across that I think is more than just a personal fun project, is the E-Commerce engine I wanted to build for my T-Shirt site. Currently, my site consists of one lonely entry in a blog and that's about it. No style, no content, and certainly no shirts to sell. In the past I had let Paypal and Google Checkout do all of the order processing for me. I think the site needs a store to go along with the blog and now is an excellent time to talk about building E-Commerce into Django.
