I Want to Build Your Website
Follow me here and let me show you what I can do!
Business in the Toilet
That's right, you read the title of this post correctly. My business is officially on the toilet. Notice what I said there, it's "ON" the toilet, meaning I've decided to get involved in a little project that has me creating art on toilet tanks.
Facebook Places
So I get this idea the other day that I'm going to use Facebook Places, instead of Foursquare. It's not that I think “Places” is better than Foursquare, it's just that I got totally bored of the game and most of the places I go are so heavily trafficked that trying to become the Mayor is almost pointless. If only the locations could control who is mayor or at least part of city council, but that's another post. I started looking into the API, mainly the javascript SDK and there are a ton of cool things that you can do with the libraries that I didn't know where available to us. In fact I really never looked into the facebook api before.
Worthless Stuff
I had one of those blogs for a long time that I'd only occasionally submit content to. You know one of those things you thought was a good idea, but never really kept up with it. Well just the other day i was going through some of my web analytics statistics and see that even though this site isn't updated at all, people are still coming to the page, I assume expecting something outrageous on the home page. Sorry I've disappointed them.
So I think it's time to start posting again, and scraping the web for those bits of news and images that are truly worthless.
I can still build it
It's been almost a year now since I last updated you on my T-Shirt project, and I thought now was as good of a time as any. Actually, I've been doing a lot and not recording it all here like I said I would. But first things first, lets talk T-Shirts and tee shirt nut is the site we are referencing.
Media Luv Me
I said in my last post that I wanted to do more with the projects I had sitting on the shelf, and one of those projects has to do with Ruby on Rails (RoR). Another aspect that I wanted to get more familiar with while on break, is using HTML 5 more effectively. One reason for this, is the growing desire for those surfing the web to consume video content.
As web surfers, we find ourselves faced with online video all the time. As bandwidth grows, so will the video format. One thing that I know HTML 5 is suppose to do really well, is help us handle video.
However, Video isn't the only thing I'd like to test out in HTML 5, I'd also like to learn more about ....
